The VDO Sat-dome is a totally different type of  satellite TV system, especially designed for mobile use. Easier to use and simple to install than any other system, sat-domes are also incredibly efficient, giving TV reception in areas where you would expect to have to use a much larger dish. To operate the system just switches it on: that’s it. Unlike other dishes, sat domes are unaffected by wind and cannot get stuck in the up-position. They are in use on Motorhomes, boats, caravans, coaches, trucks and vans all over Europe

and are being fitted by several manufactures. Included is a 3 year back to base warranty. All models except the multi-LNB version, use a single 10M cable to connect the dome itself to the control box. This cable carries the satellite signal, control data and power. The system operates on both 12V & 24V. Sat-domes are available in several versions but only two sizes: 40cm & 30cm. The size refers to the height of the sat-dome and of course, the 40cm models have a larger dish inside than the 30cm ones. The larger models are more suitable when in areas close to the edge of a satellite’s foot print. They will pick up all popular U.K TV & radio programmes over the whole of the British Isles as down as Barcelona. In the rest of Europe they have a similar performance to any other satellite dish- even models that are twice the size. The 30cm models will pick up all U.K Channels all over England, Wales, France, Belgium & Holland and will receive the southern beam from Astra 2 satellites well into Spain. However, for maximum range when programmes on Astra 2D (BBC & ITV) are required- including in Scotland & Ireland- we recommend the 40cm models. The in-motion models are designed for use when the motorhome is on the move, making it ideal for installation for Motorhomes when they system can be used to watch TV or listen to digital radio anywhere in Europe whilst driving.
